Absolwentka IFA UJ oraz Uniwersytetu w Oxfordzie (M. Litt. 1993). Rozprawę doktorską pt. “The Gothic in the Dramas of Coleridge, Wordsworth and Shelley” obroniła w roku 2001 na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. W 2020 roku otrzymała stopień doktora habilitowanego na podstawie cyklu artykułów pt. „Polska recepcja literatury angielskiego romantyzmu w XIX i XX wieku”. W roku akademickim 2001/2 wykładała na Troy State Universtity (AL, USA), a w latach 2002-2020 pracowała w Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Zawodowej w Tarnowie.
Jej główne zainteresowania badawcze to literatura brytyjska XVIII i XIX wieku oraz recepcja brytyjskiej literatury XVIII i XIX wieku w Polsce.
Jest członkiem Komisji Neofilologicznej PAU, PASE, British Association for Romantic Studies oraz Polskiego Towarzystwa Studiów nad Europejskim Romantyzmem.
