Profesor uczelni, od 2014 kierownik Zakładu Komparatystyki Literackiej i Kulturowej w Instytucie Filologii Angielskiej IFA. Absolwentka IFA UJ. Studiowała także w University of Kent, Canterbury i University of Edinburgh; stypendystka Corbridge Trust (Robinson College, University of Cambridge) 2010 i 2022. Rozprawa doktorska pt. The Concept of History and Its Representations in Selected Contemporary English Fiction dotyczyła koncepcji historii we współczesnej prozie angielskiej. Monografia habilitacyjna pt. Intertextual Dialogue with the Victorian Past in the Contemporary Novel (Frankfurt am Main: Peter Lang, 2012) poświęcona była intertekstualności w powieści neowiktoriańskiej. Wygłaszała referaty na kilkudziesięciu konferencjach w Polsce i za granicą. Zainteresowania naukowe: współczesna powieść brytyjska i irlandzka, współczesna powieść historyczna, powieść neowiktoriańska.
W latach 2011-2012 koordynowała (z dr Izabelą Curyłło-Klag) projekt wyszehradzki „Confronting the Burden of History. Anglophone Literature Studies in V4 Countries”. Współorganizowała 21. ogólnopolską konferencję anglistów PASE w r. 2012, 30. konferencję PASE „Transitions” 2022 oraz konferencje „Travelling Texts: Encounters of Literatures” (2014), “Repetition, Replication and Retelling in 21st Century Fiction” (2018), “Ellipsis: Silence, Absence and Noncommunication in Contemporary Literature” (2019), “Academic Fiction” (2019). Członkini Polish Association for the Study of English, European Society for the Study of English, Historical Fictions Research Network.
