Monika Coghen holds an M. Litt. degree from the University of Oxford, and a doctoral and post-doctoral (‘habilitacja’) degrees from the Jagiellonian University. She has published numerous articles on British Romantics, the Gothic and the theatre, and on the reception of British Romantic literature in Poland. She taught at Troy State University, Alabama (2001-2) and at Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa (State Higher Vocational School) in Tarnów (2002-2020). Her current research interests focus on Byron’s afterlives in Polish culture, and interactions between material and literary cultures in the long eighteenth century.
