lexical aspects of foreign language learning;
bilingualism of children;
reading comprehension in L1 and FL;
computer-assisted communications skills in English and aspects of virtual exchange in foreign language teaching;
specific learner problems in the development of academic writing skills in English as a foreign language;
analysis of learner language (L2 writing skills, cross-linguistic influence, error analysis, vocabulary assessment);
cognitive linguistic analysis of cultural phenomena, beliefs or folk theories, e.g., the image of an English teacher as conceptualised by trainee teachers;
